COURSE DESCRIPTION

The BLS for Healthcare Providers course provides essential lifesaving training in a supportive, low-stress environment. Participants learn adult, child, and infant CPR, including one- and two-rescuer scenarios, AED use, bag-mask ventilation, advanced airway management, and relief of choking. The course also covers recognition of heart attack symptoms and other life-threatening emergencies.
This course follows the most current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS guidelines and is designed for both licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals, including EMS personnel, nurses, physicians, dental professionals, medical and nursing students, allied health professionals, and others who require an AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification card.
This course covers the following:
- Critical concepts of high-quality CPR and AED use.
- Assessment of Adult, Children and Infants prior to CPR.
- The American Heart Association Chain of Survival.
- 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for Adults, Children and Infants.
- 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for Adults, Children and Infants.
- Differences between Adults, Child and Infant rescue techniques.
- Bag-mask techniques for Adults, Children and Infants.
- Rescue breathing for Adult, Children and Infants.
- Relief of choking for Adults, Children and Infants.
- CPR and AED with an advanced airway in place.
- Special considerations.
